The Florida City and County Management Association will hold an onsite training session on December 5, 2014 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Osceola Heritage Park, UF/FAS Osceola County Extension Services, Conference Room #162, 1921 Kissimmee Valley Lane in Kissimmee. This session is entitled: “Financial Forecasting Post Recession: Critical Revenue and Fund Balance Considerations for Local Governments.”
Kimball R. Adams, CPA and 28 year Finance Director for the city of Largo will present a very informative and interactive session on how to plan for the next recession and the tools/tips to appropriately forecast revenues and sustain fund balance requirements. Mr. Adams was recommended by FGFOA as a presenter for FCCMA several years ago and perceptively identified trends and offered advice on financial planning that proved helpful for attendees at that time. This is a must attend session for local government professionals at all levels. Mr. Adams’ delivery is “plain speak” for those with varying levels of financial understanding. Don’t miss this opportunity to join your colleagues in this sure-to-be educational program applicable to all local governments in Florida.
The cost is $49 per person/$15 for students. Lunch is included.
This session will cover ICMA Practice Areas: 10, 11 and 13: Budgeting, Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning.
