With sadness, FCCMA must advise that Ellen Posivach, former city manager of Port Richey and Tarpon Springs passed away this past weekend. A link to her obituary is as follows:

Following her receiving a MPA at Old Dominion University in 1978, Ellen embarked on a very successful city management career as follows:
Assistant to City Manager, Richmond, VA 1985-1990
Assistant City Manager, Hopewell, VA 1990-1999
City Manager, Tarpon Springs, FL 1999-2008
Assistant City Manager, Acting City Manager and City Manager, Port Richey, FL 2008-2011
Ellen was an ICMA Credentialed Manager and received four prestigious awards from ICMA as follows: Award for Programs for the Disadvantaged in Memory of Carolyn Keane, 2002; Public Safety Program Excellence Award in Memory of Bill Hansell, 2005; Program Excellence Award for Community Partnership (populations 10,000 – 49,999), 2007; and ICMA Service Award for 30 Years, 2007.
Ellen joined FCCMA in 1999 and would have received her 15-year service award at the Annual Conference in May.
