An onsite training session will be held at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers on October 24 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. The topic is: “The Ethics of Public Administration in the Age of Social Media.” The speaker for this training session is Florida’s Chief Inspector General, Melinda Miguel. This session covers ICMA Practice Area 17: Integrity. The deadline to register is Thursday, October 17.
The last onsite training session for 2013 will be held in Flagler County on November 1 from 9:30 am – 1:30 pm. The topic is: “The Sanford Experience in Responding to the Martin/Zimmerman Case.” Sanford City Manager Norton Bonaparte will provide details of the city’s challenges through the eyes of the person most responsible for the day-to-day responsibilities of the city of Sanford during this trying period. This session covers ICMA Practice Area 16: Media Relations. The deadline to register is Friday, October 25.
