- Confirm that you are eligible. See icma.org/credentialedmgr or contact credentialing@icma.org
- Complete the Applied Knowledge Assessment at webassessor.com/aka
- Complete the credentialing application at icma.org/credentialing.
For those of you who are credentialed managers and have questions about course tracking, here is a suggestion on how to track your courses. While it’s true that the online credentialing system does not yet have the capability to automatically list the ICMA courses that members have taken, the Credentialing Advisory Board strongly encourages people to track what they did and what they learned throughout the year so they aren’t scrambling at the end of the year to put everything together. Many Credentialed Managers have found it easiest to keep a Word document on their computer, edit it throughout the year, and then upload it to icma.org/credentialing for submission before the annual report deadline. They may also save the in-progress document to the website periodically as a backup.
