There are only two more onsite training sessions being held this program year.
The first session will be held March 22, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Eastern Time at the EOCC Training Facility in Palm Beach Gardens. The topic for the session is “Treasure Coast Leading Practices.” Representatives from West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Palm Beach, Gardens, St. Lucie County and Wellington will make presentations on innovative approaches to delivering local government services.
The last session will be held March 29, from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Jaco Pastorius Community Center in Oakland Park. The topic is “Florida’s Economic Outlook—How to Jump Start Your Local Economy.” Stan Geberer, Senior Associate of Fishkind & Associates; Gregory Oravec, former Port St. Lucie city manager; James Carras, Principal of Carras Community Investment; and Sheryl Dickey, President of Dickey Consulting Services will provide an economic review of Florida and its southeast region, including trends (employment, population, economic recovery and the housing markets); review of the various industries impacting our economy; and impact of the growth of the Latin American/Caribbean markets.
