Treasure Island City Manager Reid Silverboard received the 2012 Picot B. Floyd Public Service Leadership Award. Reid has 30 plus years of public service with the past five years as City Manager of Treasure Island.
His nominators spoke highly of him: “ . . . he has the ability to manage conflict, delegate authority, provide vision and leadership make difficult decisions and above all, he has high standards for personal integrity and moral character.”

Outstanding Public Administrator
North Port City Manager Jonathan Lewis received the Outstanding Public Administrator Award. Jon became the North Port City Manager in May 2011. Jon Daly nominated Lewis for the award and has this to say about Jon. “Since his arrival in North Port last year Jon has initiated social media systems granting greater citizen involvement and input in the City of North Port’s governance process. Furthermore, Jon is leading collaborative efforts with fellow Sarasota regional city managers, focusing on collaborative methods for enhancing service delivery to citizens within constrained resource availability.”
