In Remembrance of Betty Baker

Betty Baker passed away at the age of 69 in Gainesville on June 24, 2018. She has been a FCCMA member since 2002. She served as administrative services director and deputy county manager before becoming manager in July 2013. She was the first African-American county manager to serve Alachua County. After retiring from Alachua County, she served as Gainesville’s chief of staff. She retired from Gainesville in April. Details of her service are not yet available.
