One of FCCMA’s priorities this year is to increase the amount and type of training offered. The Professional Development Committee has prepared training on a variety of subjects in different venues with a focus on low-cost and high value. This is particularly important for those of us from smaller cities with limited travel budgets and large training needs. Venues include two symposiums this year, twelve live and on-demand webinars and district training near you to minimize travel costs.
This year’s Fall Symposium will be November 30, 2017 at the Lakeside Community Center in Port Orange. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems will be the subject.
ERPs serve as the basis by which the finance, human resources and procurement departments operate. ERPs are cloud-based systems that allow access from IPads and mobile devices. Speakers will provide details and examples of how to use ERPs effectively and the challenges that they face. This is a great opportunity for key staff members to today’s problems, (especially technology and procurement staff) who are responsible for finding solutions to attend.
I encourage you to sign up for this valuable training and bring your staff.
