Florida International University’s Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) program is now open at FIU at I-75 in Miramar (http://broward.fiu.edu/), welcoming the sixth cohort of EMPA students. The FIU EMPA program enjoys a retention rate of 95% and a graduation rate of 90% in 16 months. We are currently accepting EMPA applications for the 2018 cohort scheduled to start in January 2018. The EMPA program is a 42-credit graduate professional program and designed for public service professionals in executive, senior and upper-level management positions in the public sector and in non-profit organizations. It is an accelerated program with a cohort environment, and it features in-class and online hybrid format offering Saturday only face-to-face classes.
FIU’s MPA program is the only NASPAA accredited program in the Miami-Dade County. The U.S. News and World Report consistently ranks the FIU MPA program the best in the South Florida region.
