The City of Gainesville’s Department of Human Resources is seeking an innovative and highly independent Talent Acquisition Specialist with exceptional customer orientation to recruit top talent for a New American City.
This is an ideal opportunity for a high-energy HR Professional to build and maintain networks and create sourcing strategies that attract highly qualified, diverse talent. Skills in utilizing a wide variety of talent generation sources, including but not limited to: Social Media Recruiting, Internet Job Boards, and regional and national associations are a must.
A Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, Public Relations or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible, professional level recruiting experience in a high volume, fast-paced environment is required.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
Notes:
- MBA or a Master’s degree in human resources, organizational development, business administration, public relations or related field may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Certification as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is preferred. Advanced Internet Recruitment Strategies (AIRS – CIR, ACIR, CDR) is preferred.
- Valid driver license required upon start date. Florida Driver License required within 30 days of appointment.
- Will require working and 20% – 30 % travel outside regular business hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work under high stress levels, with frequent interruptions and with tight and often changing deadlines.
