Happy New Year, FCCMA Members!
I want a do-over. Seriously; a two week do-over. I took my first real time off in 18 months (since I moved this year everything has been wrapped up in that) from December 19th to January 4th and was sick the entire time. Doesn’t that qualify for a do-over? I think it should. I’m getting better now, but those days were sure wasted with medicine, Kleenex, and feeling puny.
Is your calendar already filling up? I remember my old ‘day at a glance’ paper calendar and all the blank pages would sometimes feel intimidating because so many were unfilled. Now I long for my electronic calendar to fit onto one screen on my phone instead of the ‘plus 6’ that always shows up. As a selfish plus, please mark your dates for our Annual Conference (June 1st to June 4th) and your district’s training dates now before any more dates get booked!
Credentialed managers: need some hours for your continuing education? Remember the free webinars on both the Center’s and the FLC University’s respective websites – all available 24/7! Visit www.cflge.org and www.flcuniversity.com to see what might fit your needs.
Your FCCMA ethics hours: did you complete the hours but forget to post them? Please do so right away; we’ve given members a few days to catch up after the holidays before we start contacting members about their status.
A helpful tip for the new year: remember that Senior Advisors are a phone call and/or email away from you. Maybe you need a fresh set of ears to hear a situation you are facing, or you wonder about a management dilemma – these generous members are here for YOU. I know I’m very grateful for their experience and advice!
All the best to you this new year – I hope it is very successful for you!
