Dear Fellow FCCMA County Member:
I hope you have already registered for our FCCMA annual conference and that I will see you there. During my professional career in Florida, I have gained a great deal of knowledge. I have grown as a manager, and I have built important collegial relationships at each FCCMA event that I have attended.
I want to see more of my colleagues (county managers, county deputies and assistant managers) take advantage of FCCMA’s in-state conference. You might argue that your budget won’t sustain it, or you can’t get the time away. I understand this reasoning. But, you are needed to help shape FCCMA’s county discussions and county focus. Unfortunately, I’m often one of only a handful of county managers in attendance. The larger our numbers, the greater our impact!
FCCMA is a great resource. Within each district and region there are terrific professional development and networking opportunities. I want you to be part of this and part of the statewide county conversation. I strongly encourage you to get more involved in FCCMA.
On May 27, 2015, the FCCMA annual conference will be held at Universal Studios’ Royal Pacific Hotel. If you cannot attend the whole conference, please give some thought to attending Friday, under a one-day registration of $195. There is a city/county manager roundtable Friday afternoon that always has a meaningful and useful dialogue.

I look forward to seeing you at the Royal Pacific in Orlando next week!
Sincerely,
Dr. Lee A. Niblock, CM
County Manager, Alachua County
