Charlotte County had a unique opportunity this year through ICMA. We were called upon to “Showcase Our Community” through a video that was professionally produced to be viewed at ICMA’s Annual Conference. We specifically titled our video as a bounce back-story.
Our preparation for the success story video provided valuable introspections on our work and who we are. It allowed us to step back and remember why we are here and what Charlotte County has to offer. It was beneficial to have to take a few moments to remember what we have gone through (hurricanes, economic crash) and how far we have come. In the preparation of the scripts for the interviewees, we were able to think about our past and future as a whole. The introspection time was priceless.
The process of having our success story video created was simple and it fit easily into our schedule. The company (websedge) provided guidelines and helpful documents that let us prepare for the filming day. Filming was done in one day, quick and easy. We would highly suggest if you are invited to participate in this project, to definitely say yes.
