By Sally Sherman, Deputy County Administrator Flagler County, District II Director
On October 31st, Flagler County held its District II training. The sections on Bridging the Gap and It Takes 4 to Tango were very beneficial and filled with practical tips using a very interactive approach. The training was attended by 105 local government professionals. Guest speaker, Candy Whirley captivated the audience with two lively, interactive sessions focused on improving communication and interaction between different generational groups, genders, and personality types.
As District II Director for FCCMA, I took a unique approach in providing the training by acquiring a training grant to pay for professional trainer. The grant allowed for me to expand the scope of the training by inviting other local government professionals that were not familiar with FCCMA to attend.
