On June 3rd at the Delray Beach City Commission Meeting, District IV Board Member George Brown presented Bob Barcinski a resolution thanking him for his service to the Association. Bob will retire June 16.
Below is the resolution that was presented to him:
A RESOLUTION HONORING ROBERT A. (BOB) BARCINSKI FOR HIS SERVICE TO THE FLORIDA CITY AND COUNTY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION WHILE SERVING AS ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER FOR THE CITY OF DELRAY BEACH
WHEREAS, associations rely upon the service of their members to accomplish most of their work, and when an association has an enthusiastic volunteer it is a celebratory occasion; and
WHEREAS, Robert A. (Bob) Barcinski has actively participated in the FCCMA, and this service includes faithfully serving on several committees throughout the years of his membership; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Barcinski is especially commended for going ‘above and beyond’ on the host committee for the 2004 FCCMA conference in Palm Beach Gardens, wherein he personally chauffeured, exhaustedly staffed and otherwise generously served members, exhibitors, vendors, and guests to an un-paralleled extent; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Barcinski was nominated for the FCCMA Assistant for Excellence in Leadership Award in 2012 in testimony of his tremendous success, and he continues to enjoy the genuine regard of his colleagues within the profession; and
WHEREAS, the Association is confident that Mr. Barcinski will remain an active member in the future, and that he has the admiration and congratulations of the membership following his years of service to the citizens of Delray Beach, the elected officials, and city employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That Mr. Barcinski is wished the very best as he begins a new chapter in his life and it is hoped that his many colleagues will continue to benefit from his strong support in the future.
That Mr. Barcinski’s family is also commended for generously sharing Bob with the profession and the Association.
That Mr. Barcinski is hereby presented this resolution with the most sincere appreciation and highest regard.
