This is the fifth article in a series of articles about the FCCMA committees. Be a part of the great work that FCCMA does through its committees by signing up for a committee that interests you. This committee still needs another member. Most committee work is done via conference call.
The Membership Committee will set goals to increase membership within all eight districts and will assist in the recruitment of new members.
The FCCMA staff is responsible for processing the applications, noticing the applicants once a month in the e-newsletter and then sending the applicants’ information to the Membership Committee for approval.
This year the Membership Committee will develop a retention plan to keep students and other members interested in maintaining their membership and addressing any problems or ideas relative to membership.
Last year the FCCMA Board passed an ethics policy requiring all members to gain four hours of ethics training each year. The Membership Committee will encourage the membership to get the needed training and work with staff when a member has not obtained the required training. The Membership Committee will also work with the Ethics Committee on a policy for members when a member has violated the Code of Ethics.
