The ICMA Student Chapter, housed within the University of South Florida’s (USF) School of Public Affairs and the first ICMA Student Chapter established in the State of Florida, is pleased to announce that its Student Chapter has been renamed as the Robert R. Green ICMA Student Chapter at the University of South Florida in honor of Bobby Green’s dedication to the advancement of students’ awareness of the value of public service and benefits of pursuing careers in local government. “Bobby Green exemplifies the type of dedication to public service that we want in our MPA alumni. I believe no one is more deserving of this honor than Bobby Green. He is an excellent role model for us all – whether as a fellow City Manager, public-minded citizen, academic or student as present or future public servant” noted Dr. John Daly, Director for USF’s School of Public Affairs.
