Economic development is a term that is often attributed a local tax base, the job market, or any number of broader quality of life issues in a community. This onsite training scheduled in Chattahoochee is designed to bring local government officials together with Opportunity Florida Executive Director Jim Brook to discuss how state resources can be utilized to “partner” with local governments in N.W. Florida to address local economic goals and initiatives. Attendees will also be given an opportunity to share their own economic initiatives and challenges and seek feedback from others in attendance. The Chairperson of Main Street Chattahoochee, Pam Medley, will also be available to share her city’s most recent initiative. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to gather with other N.W. Florida local governments to focus on this one topic.
This onsite training will be held October 11 from 10:00 am – 1:30 pm, Eastern in Chattahoochee at 269 River Landing Road. The cost is $49 and lunch is included.
This training will cover ICMA Practice Area 3: Functional and Operational Expertise and Planning.
