Pam Brangaccio, City Manager of New Smyrna Beach, will be representing FCCMA, on the ICMA 2014 Conference Planning Committee with planning efforts for the ICMA 2014 Conference.
Now that you are all back from the 2013 ICMA Conference, see the below email soliciting ideas for the 2014 Conference to be held in Charlotte, NC in September 2014.
INFORMATION from ICMA:
The Conference Planning Committee (meeting in November 2013) is responsible for setting the general direction of the conference and giving guidance to both ICMA staff and the Host Committee. The committee focuses mainly on the educational program for the conference (sessions, topics, and speakers) and gives guidance to the Host Committee on the social program (evening events, field demos, tours, and sports events). The objectives of the November meeting are to:
- set the tone of the conference;
- plan the educational program theme(s) and session topics;
- suggest keynote and other speakers;
- review and react to the Host Committee’s plans for the social program; and
- learn about the many attractions in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg County area, which will help you market the conference to your colleagues at home.
If you have any program ideas for 2014, or would like to be on a program panel, please email Pam Brangaccio, at pbrangaccio@cityofnsb.com.
