If you are an ICMA member, ICMA would like your comments on a proposal regarding Tenet 7 of the ICMA Code of Ethics.
Earlier this year, the ICMA Committee on Professional Conduct launched a structured review of the ICMA Code of Ethics beginning with Tenet 7. They received a wealth of feedback from members collected via regional summits, a webinar, state association meetings, and online. The Committee has a series of recommendations to propose to the Executive Board in September. All members received an email inviting them to comment on the proposed recommendations through a short survey. Comments will be received until August 30th. All ICMA members are encouraged to respond!
