The ICMA Conference will be held September 22-25, 2013 in Boston, MA. Registration and housing will open June 3 at 12:00 noon.
Most of the keynote and featured speakers have been confirmed. The lineup represents a variety of values and messages. At all times ICMA’s goal of “Best Conference ever” was kept in mind!!
Sunday Keynote – Amy Cuddy. Dr. Cuddy is a professor at the Harvard Business School and speaks about communication, particularly non verbal signals and ways of presenting oneself for success. This is a focus on personal development and is a strong message for all and particularly women in the professional world. It will be a nice kick off to the conference.
Monday Keynote – Daniel Pink. Mr. Pink is an author who spoke in Pittsburgh in 2007 about the right brain and creativity. His current book is about marketing and messaging. He got very high marks in Pittsburgh and ICMA is glad to be bringing him back for a return engagement.
Wednesday Keynote – Burt Jacobs from Life Is Good Company. Mr. Jacobs is a humorous,, uplifting and positive presenter. He will have everyone leaving in a “feel good” place. A nice side note – Mr. Jacobs asks that his full fee be donated to the Life is Good charitable foundation.
Monday Featured Speaker – Marty Linsky. Mr. Linsky is a former legislator, gubernatorial aide and reporter. He is now a renowned consultant, author and teacher. He will speak about leadership.
