Make Your Plans to Attend the ICMA Southeast Regional Summit
The ICMA Southeast Regional Summit is designed to bring together ICMA members, state association members and leaders, and other local government professionals, for professional development and information sharing. Individuals from all eleven states in the region are encouraged to attend.
This year’s theme, ICMA: GREAT BY CHOICE, will focus on a discussion of Jim Collins’ Twelve Questions for Leadership Teams as he outlined in his keynote address at the 98th ICMA Annual Conference in Phoenix/Maricopa County, Arizona. ICMA Executive Director Bob O’Neill and Felicia Logan, Director of Leadership Development, will lead a thought provoking and capacity building ICMA University Workshop based on the work of Jim Collins and his book, Great by Choice. The agenda will feature discussion leaders from the southeast who will share their application of Jim Collins’ ideas in their communities.
The summit agenda also will include discussion of regional issues, updates on current ICMA initiatives, and an emphasis on the future of the profession and the value of ICMA membership. The Summit is a full professional development package in just 24 hours; it launches at 1:30 p.m. Thursday and wraps up by noon on Friday.
The summit will be held March 7-8, 2013 at the Grove Park Inn in Ashville, NC. The cost to attend is $285.
