FCCMA District VII Director Matthew Campbell, Kenneth City Town Manager, presented a resolution to Bruce Haddock, Oldsmar City Manager, at the September 19th Council meeting.
The resolution recognized Bruce for his public service upon the occasion of his retirement from the City of Oldsmar.
A RESOLUTION OF THE FLORIDA CITY AND COUNTY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION (FCCMA)
RECOGNIZING THE PUBLIC SERVICE OF BRUCE HADDOCK UPON THE
OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE CITY OF OLDSMAR
WHEREAS, many municipal governments in Florida rely upon the experience, knowledge and skills of professional public administrators to serve as city, town and village managers; and
WHEREAS, Bruce has faithfully served in this capacity in Oldsmar for 31 years and in this role has tirelessly served his elected officials while building teams of employees who excel in their roles; and
WHEREAS, Bruce has also been a dedicated and supportive member of the Florida City and County Management Association (FCCMA) and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA); and
WHEREAS, Bruce served in a leadership role for FCCMA as a district director on the board of directors in 2003-2004, and served on the ethics committee, as well as other committees as an active member; and
WHEREAS, Bruce will retire from the City of Oldsmar on September 30, 2017 and a retirement is an occasion for celebration, recognition and appreciation; and each of these reasons are more than appropriate because of Mr. Haddock’s lifetime commitment to public service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
- That Bruce is heartily congratulated upon his retirement and extended all good wishes for his retirement and these wishes extend to his wife, Retha, and family.
- That Bruce be presented with a copy of this resolution and a sincere hope that he will maintain his membership and activity with this association and the profession as a Life Member.
