Lake County is seeking an experienced professional to fill the position of HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIVISION MANAGER. Under limited supervision, the position plans, develops, coordinates and oversees housing programs for Lake County citizens. The position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program and Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP), the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, the SHIP/Affordable Housing Program, and promoting housing and community development services to the public. The position develops and implements programs within organizational policies; reports major activities to executive level administrators and elected officials. The position directly supervises 10-12 positions.
The salary for this position is dependent on qualifications within the following range:
$ 61,900.80 – $102,003.20 per year.
REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Planning or a related field with eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience with state (Florida) and federal housing programs. Requires extensive division or department level management experience, preferably in city or county government housing programs. Preference will be given to those candidates holding a master’s degree in Public Administration. For this position, education may not be substituted for experience. Requires a valid Florida Driver’s license.
